In 1947, before partition, Syed Wajid Ali (Ex Chairman Zulfeqar Industries Ltd.) acquired Sindh Oils Mills which was situated in Hyderabad Sindh.

Two other factories, the Razor Blade Plant in Bombay (In collaboration with American Safety Razors) & Banaspati Plant in Bhopal were also being setup.

After partition, both the plants were shifted to Hyderabad, Pakistan. Ali family formed group of companies comprising of the following four:

1. Hyderabad Vegetable Oil & Allied Industry Ltd.:
   
   Started manufacturing Banaspati ghee in 1953 under the brand name of Tullo
   
   
2. Razor Blade Company:
   
   Manufacturing of carbon steel blades started in 1954 & brand name Treet was established
   
   
3. Saba Ltd.:
   
   Saba Ltd. was established in 1954 & started production of soaps with the brand names of Saba & Treet
   
4. Sindh Oil Mills Ltd.:
   
   Sindh Oil Mills was established in 1948 & was one of the largest producers of vegetable & cotton seed cake
   
   

Soap business was carried out at a factory located in Hyderabad, as the soap business grew over the period, a defunct factory by the name of Zulfeqar Industries Ltd. was bought over, and ultimately the name was adopted for the soap business.
